Its clients are Space Agencies (i.e. ESA and Luxembourg Space Agency), public space organization (i.e. Mercator, Copernicus) and private companies. Among our projects: the biggest collaborative ground segment of Europe (www.collgs.lu) and the Data Archival, Management and Processing Services (DAMPS) for ESA (www.damps.info ) that covers together the 80 % of ESA EO data, the systematic production of Sentinel-3A data and the reprocessing of Sentinel 2, so far the biggest reprocessing of the history. The company owns a relevant infrastructure with reference disk storage capacity of 68 PB and a computing cluster with almost 1 Petaflops capacity. In order to meet the needs of its clients the infrastructure hosts multiple kinds of environment ranging from dedicated HPC solution to multi-hybrid cloud solutions. The position To strengthen its “ IT Infrastructure ” department, adwäisEO SA is looking for a talented IT Architect / IT Lead for the activities related to production, archiving and dissemination of Earth Observation Data. She/he will work closely with the CTO and contribute to the maintenance and development of the IT infrastructure both of the company and of specific project related ones. She/he will be also in charge of the company IT team. Must Have Requirements • Degree in Computer Science or similar; • 5+ years of experience in a similar position; • 5+ years of experience with complex infrastructures; • Good command of infrastructure and networking virtualization, VMware based; • Good Command of Linux Environment; • Good command of Active Directory; • Good command of networking (CISCO and DELL); • Good command of infrastructure backup tools (i.e. VEEAM); • Good command of monitoring tools (Nagios, Observium, SolarWinds); • Command of Firewalling (Checkpoint preferred); • Command of principles of security; • Experience of administration of Kubernetes cluster; • Fluent in English; • Strong team working skills but also able to work alone; • Team leadership • Proactive • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills. • Valid work permit for EU Nice To Have Requirements • French knowledge; • Experience with on cloud infrastructures on premises (e.g. VCloud Director or OpenStack).
