Description de emploi

For the Luxembourg office, located in Windhof , we are looking for an Accounting Expert . The new joiner will directly report to the Manager in Luxembourg.
Our client is part of a retail/service company. They are based in seven countries and they headquarter is located in Bruxelles.
Accounting & Finance responsibilities:
   » Management of all aspects of accounting and financial reporting of the subsidiaries in your market in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP to meet local statutory and group reporting requirements
   » Support the execution of mergers, acquisitions and the integration as necessary
   » Accompany the ESG program by ensuring qualitative data
   » Ensure delivery of management reporting & preparations of annual (local statutory) accounts. Handle the preparations of budgets
   » Safeguard that all tax declarations and tax compliance activities are met in close collaboration with the Tax department
   » Confirm banking and treasury activities
   » Make sure of the quality review of BS reconciliations and prepare requested samples and evidences during external audit
Process and systems responsibilities:
   » Implementation of procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and procedures for all business cycles in accordance with the company's standards
   » Implementation of the roll out of various control systems in your market(s)
   » Contribution to European projects: systems, integration of new entities, IFRS migration, maintenance of policies and procedures
   » Support the Accounting Manager with special projects and workflow process improvements
   » Application of and compliance with control processes
People responsibilities:
   » Assistance in managing the Accounting team to deliver accounting & financial reporting services
   » Collaboration with the other finance department to support overall goals and objectives
   » Advise team members regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
   » Provide training to new and existing staff as needed

Experience Requirements:
   » A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory
   » Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in Accounting
   » Management experience is a plus
   » Experience in the Services or Retail sector is required
   » Experience with IFRS and local GAAP is required
   » Working knowledge of MS Office applications and an advanced level in Excel
   » Fluent in English and French, other language are considered as a strong asset
   » You proactively look for ways to increase customer satisfaction and ensure a customer-oriented attitude in the team
